Israeli Soldier Killed in Southern Lebanon
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army announced the death of a soldier in the reconnaissance unit of the "Golani" brigade in southern Lebanon, along with a serious injury to a soldier due to a mortar shell, and two moderate injuries, one resulting from friendly fire and the other due to suspected hypothermia during field activity, in addition to a minor injury to an officer and more than 13 soldiers, amid ongoing ground operations in the area.
The Israeli warplanes launched strikes on the town of Ainata in the Hasbaya district, while the Lebanese Ministry of Health's emergency operations center reported that a strike targeting the town of Arabsalim in the Nabatieh district resulted in the injury of eight individuals. Additionally, several areas in Bent Jbeil were subjected to artillery shelling, coinciding with bombardment targeting the outskirts of the towns of Shuqra and Wadi Saluq.
Conversely, Hezbollah announced the execution of more than 22 attacks since midnight Wednesday – Thursday, using rockets, drones, and artillery shells targeting Israeli sites, most notably the "Kirya" Ministry of Defense headquarters in Tel Aviv and military barracks, alongside Israeli vehicles and forces in southern Lebanon. They also announced targeting "Merkava" tanks and the outbreak of direct clashes "at zero distance."
