Netanyahu: We are expanding our security presence inside Lebanon

Translation by SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "We will do everything possible to prevent the residents from leaving the settlements, and there are solutions for that. We have removed the threat of a ground invasion of the settlements, and we are expanding our security presence inside Lebanon."

Netanyahu added during a meeting with settlement officials in northern Israel, according to Sada's translation: "I ask you to do everything possible to prevent the residents from leaving the settlements."

He continued, "We have removed our biggest threat that Hezbollah had, which consisted of 150,000 missiles and shells. This is a 40-year effort of Hezbollah threatening us, but we have removed most of this threat, although there is still work to be done."

He went on, "We faced a threat of a ground invasion with thousands of members of the Radwan force attacking above and below the ground, and we succeeded in removing this threat; it no longer exists."

Netanyahu stated, "We have established a genuine security area that does not allow for a ground invasion of the Galilee on the northern border. We are expanding this security area to distance the threat of anti-tank weapons from our settlements and our lands, and we are simply creating a larger buffer zone."

He affirmed that the issue of dismantling Hezbollah is before our eyes, and this is also linked to the overall battle with Iran, which is still in full swing, contrary to what is mentioned in the media, saying, "We are fully committed to doing everything to fundamentally change the situation in Lebanon."

He pointed out that Israel is stronger than ever, and Iran is weaker than ever, adding, "We have changed our approach to dealing with it, which has created possibilities for relationships and alliances we never dreamed of due to the strength of Israel, its army, and its citizens."
