Khamenei's Military Advisor: The War Will Continue Until All of Iran's Losses Are Compensated

SadaNews - The military advisor to the Iranian leader, Mohsen Rezaei, warned that his country would escalate its response unprecedentedly if the United States targets its vital infrastructure.

Rezaei stated in televised remarks that "the Iranian response will no longer be an eye for an eye; it will be broader and more severe," affirming that Tehran is capable of "crippling the United States in the event of escalation."

He added that "the confrontation will continue until several conditions are met, including compensating for all losses Iran has incurred, a complete lifting of economic sanctions, as well as obtaining international legal guarantees against U.S. interference in Iranian affairs."

He continued: "U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he was unaware of the attack on the 'Pars' field, adding that 'pressure was exerted on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to announce a similar stance.'"

Rezaei pointed out that the upcoming period may witness a deep division between the United States and Israel amid rapid developments and regional tensions.

Earlier today, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf denied any negotiations with the United States, asserting that what is being circulated on this matter falls under "false news" aimed at manipulating financial and oil markets.

Qalibaf added that "the Iranian people demand retaliation for the aggression," emphasizing that the officials in the country stand firmly alongside the leader to achieve this goal.

Furthermore, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baqai, stated that "Tehran has not negotiated with Washington, but it has received messages from mediators expressing their desire to negotiate to end the war."

Baqai added: "We have not held talks with the United States. In recent days, we received messages from several friendly countries regarding U.S. requests for talks aimed at ending the war, and they were responded to according to the country’s principled position."

This comes in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement that he ordered the Pentagon to delay strikes on Iranian power stations for five days, noting that the U.S.-Iranian negotiations that took place over the past two days aimed to reach a complete settlement between the two parties regarding the situation in the Middle East.

Trump wrote on the "Truth Social" platform: "I am pleased to announce that the United States and Iran have had very fruitful and good negotiations over the past two days regarding reaching a comprehensive and full solution to our military operations in the Middle East."

He continued: "Based on the nature of these in-depth, detailed, and constructive negotiations, which will continue throughout the week, I have instructed the War Department to postpone any military strikes on Iranian power stations and energy infrastructure for five days, pending the successful conclusion of the ongoing meetings and discussions."

The region is experiencing significant tension due to the continued U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on targets in Iran, including the capital Tehran, since February 28, which have caused significant damage, civilian casualties, and the assassination of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, along with several commanders of the Revolutionary Guard and the military.

Iran responded by launching rocket strikes on Israel, as well as on U.S. military facilities in the Middle East, in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, vowing to respond with an "unprecedented" retaliation.

For its part, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, calling for an immediate de-escalation and cessation of hostilities.
