Axios: Three Countries Conveyed Messages Between Washington and Tehran
SadaNews - Axios reported that Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan have conveyed messages between the United States and Iran over the past two days as part of intense diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions.
The site quoted an American source as saying that "the foreign ministers of the three countries held separate talks with White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi."
A source familiar with the details said: "Mediation is ongoing and making progress. The discussions are focused on ending the war and resolving all outstanding issues. We hope to receive answers soon."
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the nature of these messages or the outcomes of the talks.
In Israel, the newspaper Maariv reported that officials in Tel Aviv are aware of these communications, confirming that they have been ongoing for more than two days.
The newspaper clarified that political circles in Israel view President Donald Trump's public statements not as surprising but rather as confirmation of the existence of an "effective communication channel" that has been operating for some time.
Israeli estimates indicate that the military confrontation is indeed nearing its end and that the diplomatic path may lead to an imminent agreement.
