Report: Israeli Strikes on Iran Will Continue Even if the War Stops
SadaNews - The Washington Post reported that Israeli officials have stated that the need for subsequent strikes on Iran will continue even after any announced end to the current conflict, noting that such actions may be deemed necessary if the United States or Israel detects Iranian attempts to rebuild its ballistic missile program or recover buried uranium.
The newspaper added that "Israel will face little restrictions on its ability to carry out such strikes if Iran is no longer capable of targeting vessels in the Strait of Hormuz or bombarding its neighbors in the Gulf with missiles."
Israeli military spokesperson Ivi Dvrin announced that Israel expects "additional weeks of fighting" against Hezbollah and Iran.
The spokesperson said in a televised statement, "With every passing day, we are weakening the Iranian terrorist regime more significantly; we will not allow the terrorist regime and its agents to pose a threat to the citizens of Israel."
He added, "O citizens of Israel, we still face several weeks of fighting against Iran and Hezbollah."
