Zamir Approves New Plans to Deepen Ground Operations in Lebanon

Translation by SadaNews - Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir approved plans on Sunday evening to continue operations in Lebanon and deepen ground maneuvering.

Zamir stated following a security session, as translated by SadaNews, that the battle with Hezbollah has only just begun and that in the end it will remain isolated.

He added: Iran is the focus of our efforts, and the northern arena is another central stage. They are intertwined, and Hezbollah is a central arm of the Iranian regime, having made a grave mistake by choosing to join the campaign against Israel; this choice harms it and the state of Lebanon as a whole.

He continued: The message is clear that there is no safe place for the regime and its agents, and any threat to the citizens of Israel will be met with a firm, precise, and strong response, according to him.

He added: In recent weeks, we have achieved significant accomplishments, having attacked over 2,000 targets, dozens of weapons storage facilities, and eliminated hundreds of "terrorists."

He continued: We are now preparing to intensify maneuvers and attacks according to a precise plan, and we will not stop until the threat from the border is removed and long-term security for the northern residents is ensured. In parallel with the attacks, the Israeli army is strengthening the front line to protect the northern inhabitants.

He concluded: We are ready for a long campaign and will continue to operate as necessary, both offensively and defensively, to ensure the security of the northern residents over time.
