Casualties and Hundreds Injured in Arad and Dimona Due to Iranian Shelling

SadaNews - Six people were killed and more than 100 others were injured in the city of Arad in the Negev region due to a direct hit from a missile warhead in a residential neighborhood, resulting in widespread destruction affecting several residential buildings and the outbreak of fires. Rescue teams declared the incident as a "mass casualty event," amid estimates of people trapped under the rubble.

In Dimona, around 50 people were injured due to a missile strike that led to the collapse of a building and sparked flames, in addition to damage recorded at 12 sites as a result of direct missile strikes and falling debris from interceptors, amid consecutive Iranian missile launches targeting sites in central and southern Israel.

In response, the Israeli army announced extensive strikes inside Iran, claiming they targeted hundreds of sites, including the Malek Ashtar University of Technology in Tehran, which it alleged is used for developing nuclear components, along with facilities for producing and storing ballistic missiles, launching platforms, and air defense systems.

Conversely, Iran announced that it targeted the Natanz facility, accusing the United States and Israel of being behind the attack, while the repercussions of the confrontation are expanding regionally and internationally, with efforts underway to secure navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, amid fears that continued attacks could impact global energy supplies.
