$373.6 Million in Total Remittances Received by Jordan in January
SadaNews - Preliminary data released by the Central Bank of Jordan indicates an 11.9% increase in the total remittances received by the Kingdom during January 2026, amounting to $373.6 million. Meanwhile, remittances sent from the Kingdom rose by 13.3% to reach $152.8 million.
The data shows that remittances coming from the UAE ranked first, accounting for 22.6% of the total remittances to the Kingdom, followed by Saudi Arabia at 19.6%, then the United States at 17.3%, followed by Qatar at 9.1%. Other countries accounted for 31.4% of the total remittances received.
As for outbound remittances, it shows that Egypt represents the primary destination for remittances sent from the Kingdom, making up 38.2%, followed by Bangladesh at 13.8%, then the Philippines at 5.1%. Other countries accounted for 42.9% of the total outbound remittances.
