Israeli Minister of Defense: Expected Surprises Will Escalate the War

SadaNews - Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant officially announced the assassination of Iranian Intelligence Minister Ismail Khatib.

Gallant stated: "Today's expected surprises will escalate the war against Iran and Hezbollah."

He added: "I instructed Netanyahu and myself to carry out the assassination of any Iranian official we can reach without referring to us."

Washington accuses Ismail Khatib of overseeing international operations targeting dissidents and facilities, in addition to his ministry's pivotal role in dealing with internal protests.

He is known for his close relationship with the office of the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and he has been heading the Ministry of Intelligence since the era of former President Ebrahim Raisi.
