Iran Executes Suspect for Spying for Mossad
SadaNews - The Iranian judiciary announced today, Wednesday, the execution of a person convicted of spying for Israel, at a time when the scope of the war is widening, revealing deep security gaps within Iran.
The Iranian judiciary's news agency, "Mizan", reported that authorities executed a man accused of spying for Israel named Kourosh Kiani.
The agency added that Kiani was convicted of "providing the Israeli intelligence agency (Mossad) with photos and information about important sites in Iran."
Iran and Israel have been engaged in a "shadow war" for decades, during which Tehran has carried out executions of numerous individuals accused of links to the Mossad and facilitating its operations within the country.
In recent months, Iranian authorities announced a series of arrests and death sentences against individuals convicted of spying for Israel. Additionally, the Iranian parliament approved a new law last October that intensifies penalties for those accused of cooperating with foreign intelligence agencies, particularly American and Israeli.
