The Occupation Army: We Have Started "Limited" Ground Operations in Southern Lebanon
SadaNews: The Israeli occupation army announced on Monday that its forces have begun limited ground operations against Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon in recent days to bolster front-line defenses.
The army added: "The 91st Division has started specific ground activity in southern Lebanon, and the operation includes the destruction of Hezbollah infrastructure."
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported on Sunday that the Israeli government is preparing to request approval to mobilize up to 450,000 reservist soldiers.
The Authority stated that this request came based on a recommendation from the Israeli army and the security establishment to ensure maximum readiness to deal with developments on the northern front.
The Israeli occupation army announced early Monday that it had conducted strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
An Israeli airstrike targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut on Sunday evening, according to local media, after the Israeli army issued an evacuation warning in the morning that included several neighborhoods in the area.
Two Israeli officials said on Sunday that Israel and Lebanon are expected to hold talks in the coming days aimed at reaching a permanent ceasefire that leads to the disarmament of Hezbollah, but they indicated that no agreement has yet been reached regarding the timing and terms of these talks.
Lebanon is working on forming a delegation to conduct the talks, but no date has been set thus far.
