Lebanon: At least 826 martyrs and more than 830,000 displaced since the start of the Israeli war
SadaNews - 826 people have been martyred and 2,009 others injured, in addition to the displacement of 831,882 since the start of the Israeli war on Lebanon on March 2, with ongoing Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon and repeated army alerts for the evacuation of villages in several areas.
On Saturday, Hezbollah fired shells and drones towards border towns and sites, targeting the Upper Galilee, Western Galilee, Haifa, and the occupied Syrian Golan, during which sirens sounded in many towns.
The Israeli war continues on the northern front, while Lebanese authorities seek direct negotiations with Tel Aviv to reach a ceasefire. In this context, it has been reported that a round of negotiations between the two sides is set to take place in the coming days, either in Cyprus or France, with the former being more likely. The negotiations will be led by former Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, who has been appointed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while U.S. President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will also be present from the American side.
