8 Martyrs in Israeli Airstrike on Ramlet El Bayda in Beirut

Sada News - The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that at least 8 people have been martyred in an Israeli airstrike early Thursday on the Ramlet El Bayda area along the Beirut waterfront, just hours after another attack targeted the heart of the Lebanese capital.

The ministry's Operations Center reported in a statement that "an airstrike by the Israeli enemy on Ramlet El Bayda in Beirut resulted, initially, in the martyrdom of 8 citizens and the injury of 21 others."

Hundreds of displaced people had taken refuge on the beach of Ramlet El Bayda, adjacent to the southern suburb of Beirut, after receiving Israeli warnings to evacuate their homes in the suburb and southern Lebanon.

The official Lebanese National News Agency reported that the airstrike targeted "a car in Ramlet El Bayda, resulting in deaths and injuries," adding that the strike coincided with the low-altitude flight of hostile drones.

Footage circulated on social media showed chaos after the strike along the waterfront promenade, with rescue personnel appearing to try to assist the victims alongside wrecked cars amid panic and disorder.

This attack is the third by Israel in the heart of Beirut since the outbreak of the war in the Middle East, following its targeting of an apartment in one of the neighborhoods on Wednesday and a room in a seaside hotel on Sunday.

Hezbollah also announced early Thursday that it has targeted with rockets "the Galilout base, the headquarters of Military Intelligence Unit 8200, in the suburbs of Tel Aviv with a barrage of quality rockets."

This is the latest attack by the Iran-backed party since launching a new military operation against Israel, which, in turn, announced targeting 10 positions belonging to the party in the southern suburb of Beirut.
