Attacks on the Gulf.. Targeting Fuel Tanks at Salalah Port and Fire at Abu Dhabi Airport

SadaNews - Iran has continued to target Gulf nations with new missile attacks and drones, leading to the burning of fuel tanks at Salalah Port in Oman today, Wednesday, and a fire at the old Abu Dhabi Airport after debris fell due to a successful interception by air defenses.

The Oman News Agency reported, "A security source stated that several drones were shot down, while other drones hit fuel tanks at Salalah Port," adding that no casualties were reported.

It added that specialized agencies are making all efforts to monitor and respond to these aggressive attacks, in order to maintain the security of the homeland, citizens, and residents.

In a related context, the Sultanate of Oman announced the downing of a drone and the fall of another into the sea north of Duqm, with no human or material losses reported.

The Sultanate of Oman renewed its condemnation of the ongoing targeting operations, indicating that it is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of the country and its residents.

Oman News Agency reported that Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said expressed to Iranian President Masud Bezhakian during a phone call the country's discontent and condemnation of the continuous attacks targeting Omani territories.

For its part, the Qatari Ministry of Defense announced via its account on the "X" platform this morning, Wednesday, that the armed forces had repelled a missile attack targeting the State of Qatar.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense also announced that it had intercepted aerial targets in the past 24 hours, confirming that it destroyed 7 drones and one fell outside the threat area.

Kuwait's Interior Ministry spokesperson, Brigadier Nasser Bousalib, stated that "explosive ordnance disposal teams dealt with 18 reports related to debris resulting from defensive interception operations over the past 24 hours," confirming that the total number of reports since the onset of the aggression has risen to 347.

Fire at Abu Dhabi Airport

In the UAE, the Abu Dhabi Media Office stated that civil defense teams managed to control a fire at the old Abu Dhabi Airport after debris fell due to a successful interception by air defenses.

The Dubai Government Media Office confirmed that two drones fell near Dubai Airport, but stated that air traffic continues normally. Witnesses from Reuters reported that there were no obvious damages at the airport. Four people were injured.

The attack posed a new threat after Dubai International Airport sustained damage on the first day of the conflict, along with Abu Dhabi International Airport and Kuwait International Airport.

For its part, the Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs Authority stated today, Wednesday, that several empty passenger aircraft belonging to Gulf Air and some cargo planes have been moved to alternative airports "to ensure the continuity of aerial operations according to the highest standards of safety and security" during the crisis.

Tracking data from the website "FlightRadar 24" showed that several passenger planes were moved to locations in Saudi Arabia over the past 24 hours.

The war - initiated by America and Israel against Iran on February 28 - has entered its 12th day, with continued U.S. and Israeli bombardment of Iranian cities and sites.

In response, Tehran has retaliated by launching waves of ballistic missiles and drones towards Israel and what it calls "American interests in the region," resulting in casualties and damage to civilian sites including airports, ports, and buildings, which have been condemned by the targeted Arab countries calling for an end to these aggressions.
