Trump Again: The War Will End Soon
SadaNews Translation - U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated on Wednesday evening his assurances that the war with Iran will end soon.
In a short phone interview with Israeli-American journalist Barak Ravid, who works for Channel 12 and Axios, Trump stated that the war with Iran will end soon, but he would not specify a precise timeline.
During the 5-minute call, according to SadaNews translation, Trump said: "There is almost nothing left to attack inside Iran… just a little here and there; when you want it to end, it will end."
He noted that U.S. strikes launched yesterday destroyed 16 mine-laying boats, which have disrupted Iranian plans regarding mine laying in the Strait of Hormuz.
He observed that the war is going well, saying: "We are well ahead of schedule… We have caused more damage than we thought was possible, even during the original six-week period."
Trump added: "Iran is not only hostile to Israel and the United States, but also to Gulf countries."
He continued: "They wanted to control the rest of the Middle East as well… They are paying the price for 47 years of death and destruction they have caused… This is retribution, and they will not escape punishment."
