Iranian Police Warn Against Protests Against the Regime: Our Fingers are on the Trigger

SadaNews - The commander of the Iranian police has warned citizens in his country against protesting for regime change, following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's call for Iranians to rise up against the leadership of the Islamic Republic.

Ahmad Reza Radan stated on state television that "anyone who takes to the streets at the enemy's request will no longer be considered a protester, but rather as an enemy, and we will treat them accordingly," adding that "all our forces are on high alert with fingers on the trigger," as he put it.

Netanyahu had previously urged Iranians to rebel against their government, describing the war being waged by Israel and the United States as a "historic war for freedom," according to a message he sent to the Iranian people.

Netanyahu wrote that "this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to overthrow the Ayatollah regime and gain your freedom," adding that "you asked for help, and it has come to you."

U.S. President Donald Trump has also repeatedly encouraged Iranians to see American-Israeli attacks as an opportunity to topple the leadership in Tehran.
