The Election Committee Publishes the Final Voter Registration List for the Upcoming Elections

SadaNews - The Central Election Commission announced today, Tuesday, the publication of the final voter registration list through its official website, in a move aimed at facilitating access for candidates and interested parties to the list, and enhancing transparency in the electoral process.

The Commission clarified that the electronic publication of the list is part of its ongoing efforts to remove obstacles for candidates, whether for electoral lists or individual candidates, allowing them to view the names of voters in local bodies in the finalized voter registration list.

Regarding the content of the published list, it is limited to the name of the voter and their polling center only, in order to maintain the privacy of their information. The published list is categorized according to the local bodies where the elections will be held in each electoral district.

The Commission emphasized that making the voter registration list available on its website is part of its policy to develop electronic services and enhance the use of technology in managing the electoral process, ensuring that electoral information is available and easily accessible.

It was noted that the final list was approved after going through the stages and procedures stipulated by law, which included updating the preliminary voter registration list, publishing it as a preliminary list for objections, and allowing an opportunity for unregistered voters to register, culminating in the approval of the final list.

The Commission added that the list will remain published on its website elections.ps throughout the stages of the electoral process for the year 2026, allowing candidates and relevant parties to review and benefit from it.
