Jordan condemns ongoing terrorist attacks by settlers against Palestinians

SadaNews - The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the ongoing terrorist attacks by settlers against the Palestinians, notably the recent assault on the village of Abu Falih northeast of Ramallah, which resulted in the deaths of three Palestinians and injuries to others, holding Israel, the occupying power, responsible for these attacks. The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Fouad Majali, affirmed the Kingdom's absolute rejection and condemnation of these attacks, as well as the escalation of settler terrorism against the Palestinian people; a condemned escalation and a deepening of the systematic targeting of Palestinian civilians in light of the grave illegal Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank. Majali called on the international community to shoulder its legal and moral responsibilities, urging Israel, the occupying power, to cease its dangerous escalation and the attacks by settlers, and to fulfill the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in establishing their independent sovereign state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital; the only way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees security and stability in the region.
