Bezhakian: Iran Will Not Surrender to America and Israel

SadaNews - Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian apologized on Saturday to neighboring Arab countries for Iranian attacks against them, noting that "there is no enmity with the countries of the region."

Bezhakian stated in a televised speech broadcasted by the Irna news agency that the temporary leadership council has agreed to refrain from launching attacks or missile strikes against neighboring countries unless the attack on Iran originates from those countries.

He added, "After the killing of our leaders and the commander, our armed forces took the necessary actions as a 'field decision' in the absence of the leaders."

Bezhakian also emphasized that Iran will not surrender to Israel and the United States, asserting that America's demand for his country to surrender unconditionally is a "dream they should take to their graves."

The Iranian military announced earlier today that naval forces launched a wave of drone attacks on Israel and on U.S. bases in the Gulf, as the American-Israeli war against Iran enters its second week.

The military stated in a statement reported by the official Irna agency that "the Iranian navy targeted U.S. bases and the occupied territories (Israel) with an intensive wave of drone attacks."

The statement added that among the targeted sites was a "strategic facility" in Israel.

The "Revolutionary Guard" announced today (Saturday) that it targeted "separatist groups" in Iraqi Kurdistan, stating in a statement reported by Tasnim news agency, "Three sites of separatist groups in the (Kurdistan) area of Iraq were struck this morning," warning that "if separatist groups in the region take any action against Iran's territorial integrity, we will crush them."

Today (Saturday), the "Revolutionary Guard" announced that it targeted an oil tanker in the Gulf, reporting in a statement: "An oil tanker named 'Prima' was hit by an explosive drone this morning after ignoring repeated warnings from the naval forces of the Revolutionary Guard regarding the navigation ban and insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz."

In a related context, the Iranian "Revolutionary Guard" announced on Friday evening that it is "waiting" for the American forces that will escort commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz, where maritime traffic has become almost paralyzed amid the American-Israeli war with Iran.

Spokesman for the "Revolutionary Guard," Ali Mohammad Naeini, said, "We are waiting for them," commenting on U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright's announcement that the U.S. Navy is preparing to escort ships in the strategic strait, adding as reported by Fars agency: "We advise the Americans, before making any decision, to remember the fire that targeted the giant American oil tanker 'Bridgton' in 1987, and the oil tankers that were recently targeted."
