Spain Will Cooperate.. White House: The Regime in Iran Is Being 'Crushed' and There Are No Current Plans to Send Ground Troops
SadaNews - On Wednesday, White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt stated that the regime in Iran is "being crushed," amid ongoing strikes and military escalation in the region.
She added that the phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was important regarding the timeline for the attack on Iran. She noted that President Trump and his advisors are discussing the role that the United States may play in Iran after the military campaign ends, confirming that there are currently no plans to send ground troops as part of operations in Iran.
The spokesperson pointed out that intelligence agencies are studying the developments, emphasizing that Washington will wait to see what the assessments reveal.
She said that Spain has agreed to cooperate with U.S. operations in the Middle East following Trump's threat to impose financial sanctions.
Levitt reported that the White House is aware of reports indicating that Mojtaba, the son of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei who was killed last week, is running for leadership.
She also announced that President Trump will be receiving the bodies of Americans who were killed in the war with Iran.
