Occupation Arrests Journalists and Released Prisoners During Raids in the West Bank
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a wide campaign of arrests and raids in various areas of the West Bank early Wednesday morning, targeting a number of young men including a journalist and released prisoners, with clashes and injuries reported during the incursions.
In Jericho city, two young men were arrested from Aqbat Jabr camp, while the campaign continued to raid Palestinian homes in Ein Sultan camp.
In Nablus, a young man named Tamer Nael Zaid was arrested after his home was raided in the Al-Mukhfiya neighborhood west of the city, and Adam Salwadi was also arrested after his home in the village of Tal southwest of Nablus was raided.
In Salfit governorate, a number of young men were arrested during a raid in Qiraa, Bani Hassan town west of the governorate, while Abdul Aziz Umar Besharat was arrested in Tamoun town in Tubas governorate.
In Hebron governorate, three young men were arrested in Idna town west of the governorate: Jirrah Abu Jahisha, Mohamed Abu Zalta, and released prisoner Khalil Awawda.
Four Palestinians were also arrested during a raid in Hebron city: Tarek Anwar Edies and his son Anwar, Hatim Qafisha, and Youssef Ghaith. Early today, the occupation forces re-arrested journalist Musab Qafisha from his home in Hebron, in addition to arresting Hatim Al-Jamal in the Al-Hara'iq area.
The arrests included young man Aiham Jaradat and his father Ali in Sa'ir town, along with other young men in Beit Ummar and the Qurna area in Surif town north of the governorate.
In Ramallah, young man Moamen Afana was arrested after his home in the Al-Masyoun neighborhood was raided, while another young man was arrested in Baqa Al-Sharqiya town in Tulkarm governorate.
In Ya'bad town south of Jenin, the forces closed the entrances to the side streets, and the raid of the town continued for the second day, using bulldozers to close the entrance to the southern neighborhood with dirt barriers, raiding several homes and turning some into military barracks, while holding and physically assaulting young men.
In Tuqu' town, the forces seized an apartment belonging to citizen Eid Ahmad Suleiman and turned it into a military barracks, deploying snipers on the rooftops of the building.
Also, dozens of Palestinians suffered from suffocation in Nahhalin town west of Bethlehem while worshipers were leaving the Taraweeh prayers, while occupation forces in Ramallah arrested young man Mohamed Mahmoud Abu Aliya from Al-Mughayir village after assaulting him and seizing his vehicle.
