Revolutionary Guard Announces Control Over Strait of Hormuz
SadaNews - On Wednesday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced its control over the Strait of Hormuz, which holds great importance for global oil trade.
The Iranian news agency "Fars" quoted a senior naval official in the Revolutionary Guard, Mohammad Akbarzadeh, stating that "the Strait of Hormuz is currently under complete control of the naval forces of the Revolutionary Guard".
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the U.S. Navy is capable of escorting oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz "if necessary".
