Netanyahu: We attacked Iran before its nuclear capabilities became "fortified"
SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Monday that Iran is constructing new nuclear sites that would soon be immune to any attack, necessitating urgent strikes against it.
Netanyahu told Fox News: "They have started building new sites and new places and underground bunkers that would make their ballistic missile programs and their nuclear bomb-making programs fortified within months."
He added: "If no action is taken now, no action will be possible in the future."
Netanyahu affirmed that the war against Iran will not be an endless war and will involve swift and decisive actions.
On Monday, Netanyahu predicted an imminent downfall of the current regime in Tehran, stating that the day is "approaching" for the "brave Iranian people to rid themselves of the yoke of tyranny."
During his visit to the site of the Iranian missile attack that resulted in the death of 9 people on Sunday in Beit Shemesh near Jerusalem, Netanyahu said: "We launched this campaign to thwart any attempt to revive existential threats."
Netanyahu indicated a commitment to "preparing the conditions that will enable the brave Iranian people to rid themselves of the yoke of tyranny."
The Israeli Prime Minister continued: "That day is approaching. When it arrives, Israel and the United States will stand by the Iranian people. It is up to them."
In this context, a security source told Israeli Channel 12 on Monday: "We expect a decrease in the pace of missile launches from Iran soon, following the actions of the Israeli army."
The source clarified that "once that happens, it will be possible to move forward in preparing the necessary conditions for the overthrow of the regime."
