The Army, in a statement from a military source described as "responsible," said: "The armed forces dealt today (Saturday) with 49 of the unmanned aerial vehicles and ballistic missiles that targeted Jordanian territory."

Eyewitnesses told the "AFP" agency that they heard an explosion and saw smoke rising in the Palm Jumeirah area of Dubai. One witness reported seeing thick black smoke rising from a hotel and hearing the sirens of ambulances rushing to the scene. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement: "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expresses its rejection and strongest condemnation of the brazen and cowardly Iranian attacks that targeted the Riyadh area and the eastern region and were intercepted. These attacks cannot be justified under any pretext or in any form, and they came despite the Iranian authorities' knowledge that the Kingdom had confirmed to them that it would not allow the use of its airspace and territories to target Iran."
The statement added that the Kingdom "will take all necessary measures to protect its security, safeguard its territory and its residents, including the option to respond to the aggression."
