Arrests in Occupation and Settler Attacks in the West Bank
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces arrested a citizen this evening, Wednesday, after assaulting him in the town of Hawara, south of Nablus.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the southern area of the town and its main street with several military vehicles, and assaulted the freed prisoner Ahmed Samir Ouda before arresting him.
The sources added that the occupation forces closed the main street in the town, detained a number of youths and children there, and raided and searched homes.
In addition, the occupation forces arrested three citizens, and settlers stormed the village of Raboud south of Hebron.
Local sources mentioned that the occupation forces arrested two young men, Oday Al-Daghameen and Ismail Al-Khalayleh, while they were herding their sheep in the area of "Al-Kharabah" south of the town of Samu. They also arrested the citizen Khaled Shnaran from the Wadi Al-Rakhim area in Masafer Yatta south of Hebron, after being chased by a group of settlers who attempted to assault him.
In a related context, dozens of armed settlers, protected by the occupation forces, stormed the village of Raboud to the south, where they performed prayers and ritual ceremonies on a hill at one of the archaeological sites in the village.
Meanwhile, settlers set fire to agricultural facilities in the "Al-Shamis" area near the Awja Valley, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
The Baider Rights Organization clarified that the fire caused material damage to several agricultural facilities and properties.
In a related context, armed settlers chased a vehicle belonging to citizens from the Ma'azeh Bedouin gathering near the town of Jab'a north of Jerusalem, trying to block the road in front of it and harass the driver.
The sources added that the settlers continued to pursue the vehicle until it reached the entrance of the gathering, where they attempted to seize it with the assistance of the occupation forces, before locals confronted them and forced them to retreat.
The areas north and east of Jerusalem are witnessing a noticeable increase in settler assaults, especially around Bedouin gatherings, as part of repeated attempts to pressure citizens and drive them away from their lands.
Settlers also attacked citizens in the village of Jalud southeast of Nablus.
Local sources reported that a number of settlers attacked the valley area in Jalud, and several young men tried to confront them, which led to clashes breaking out.
