Trump: Our Army is the Strongest in the World and We Will Not Allow Iran to Develop Its Nuclear Program

SadaNews: U.S. President Donald Trump affirmed that the United States has "the strongest military on the face of the earth," warning that any country that doubts his country's resolve will face a "formidable American force," adding, "We hope that we will not have to use it."

In his State of the Union address to Congress on Wednesday, Trump addressed recent military operations, noting that "an elite group of our warriors executed one of the most complex and magnificent military achievements in history in Venezuela last January," explaining that this operation achieved "a major victory for the security of the United States" and opened up "bright new horizons for the people of Venezuela."

Trump confirmed the success of the U.S. military campaign in the Caribbean and the Pacific, which contributed to "halting record amounts of drugs from entering our country."

On the diplomatic front, Trump referred to cooperation with the new leadership in Venezuela since last January, which released "hundreds of political prisoners," and confirmed that he is working with the new president of Venezuela to achieve "huge economic gains for both countries."

Concerning the Iranian file, Trump warned that Tehran "wants to restart the development of its nuclear program" and is pursuing its "malicious ambitions," noting that Iran is developing missiles that could reach the United States, and referring to the internal situation in Iran by stating that "Iran has killed 32,000 protesters."

He emphasized that "American policy has for decades been based on preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons," affirming the effectiveness of "peace through strength" policy, and added that Washington "is in negotiations with Iran, which seeks to reach an agreement."

Regarding international conflicts, Trump pointed out that during the first ten months of his presidency, he ended 8 wars, including the war in Gaza, stressing his commitment to "striving for peace whenever possible" and not hesitating to confront threats.

Trump concluded his speech by announcing that his country "is intensively working to end the war in Ukraine."
