Iran: IRGC Conducts Exercises in the Strait of Hormuz
SadaNews - Iranian Revolutionary Guard naval exercises began in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, under the name "Smart Control of the Strait of Hormuz," according to official Iranian media.
The Iranian news agency "Fars" reported that the main objectives of these exercises include "assessing the readiness of the participating units, demonstrating scenarios for confronting potential threats, and smartly utilizing Iran's geopolitical advantages."
The information and operational training focuses of the participating units in these exercises are aimed at "swift, decisive, and comprehensive responses by the operational IRGC forces to hostile plans threatening maritime security," according to the agency.
The Iranian news agency "Tasnim" mentioned that these exercises are being conducted "under the direct supervision and field monitoring" of the IRGC's commander, Major General Mohammad Pakpour. Videos were released showing military drills at sea under the supervision of General Pakpour.
