SadaNews - The Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan received in Ankara the Chairman of the National Committee for the Management of the Gaza Strip, Dr. Ali Abdul Hamid Shaath.
The two sides discussed developments in the Gaza Strip, the urgent needs for relief and housing for thousands of families who have lost their homes, as well as ways to enhance response and emergency relief mechanisms and coordinate efforts to expedite transitional housing operations to ensure the dignity of citizens in the region.
An agreement was reached with the Turkish Foreign Ministry to supply the National Committee for Gaza Management with twenty thousand caravans (prefabricated housing units) as a first batch, to provide urgent, temporary, and dignified shelter for those whose homes have been destroyed, until the restoration of partially damaged buildings and the reconstruction of those that have been completely destroyed are completed. Both parties emphasized the implementation of the second phase of the plan of US President Donald Trump, the importance of empowering and supporting the National Committee for Gaza Management, the rapid deployment of an international stabilization force to monitor the ceasefire implementation, ensuring the continuous flow of humanitarian aid, and enhancing coordination for the implementation of the commitments of the second phase.
