Netanyahu's Quick Visit to the White House Due to "Iran"
SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is heading to Washington today for a brief visit, during which he will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump tomorrow, marking the only scheduled engagement on the visit's agenda so far.
Netanyahu's close associates confirmed that the purpose of the visit is to clarify the consequences of a "narrow agreement" with Iran that solely focuses on the nuclear file, at a time when Tehran continues to rehabilitate and develop its ballistic missile system. Sources indicated that officers from the Israeli occupation army will not accompany Netanyahu on the visit, contrary to previous estimates.
In relation to Iran, the official news agency "IRNA" reported that the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Larijani, left Tehran this morning heading to the Omani capital Muscat to deliver his country's response following the recent indirect negotiations held with the U.S. delegation.
Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian stated yesterday that the talks held with the United States last weekend represented a "step forward", affirming that dialogue has always been his country's choice for resolving issues peacefully. He emphasized that Iran's position on the nuclear file is based on the rights enshrined in the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
In contrast, Bezhakian criticized the U.S. threats of military action, asserting that his country "responds to respect with respect, but does not accept the language of force".
