Hebrew Channel: Thousands of Indonesian Soldiers to Arrive in Gaza Soon
Translation by SadaNews - The Hebrew Channel, Reshet Kan, reported on Monday evening that preparations are underway to accommodate Indonesian soldiers as part of the international stabilization force.
According to the Hebrew channel, as translated by SadaNews, a date for the soldiers' arrival has not yet been set, indicating that the first foreign force expected to arrive in Gaza will be from the largest Muslim-majority country in the world.
The Indonesian forces are expected to be stationed in the area located south of the Gaza Strip, between Rafah and Khan Younis, noting that the area is ready and that the construction of residential buildings will take several weeks.
Estimates suggest that this number amounts to several thousand Indonesian soldiers, and discussions are already underway with Jakarta regarding the troop deployment to Gaza.
In the meantime, it was revealed today that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is expected to arrive in Washington on February 19 to participate in a peace council meeting chaired by President Donald Trump.
Subianto had previously stated that his country is prepared to send 20,000 soldiers to Gaza.
