Hebrew Channel: Israel Excludes Imminent Agreement Between the United States and Iran
Translation by SadaNews - Hebrew Channel 13 reported on Monday evening that the prevailing belief in Israel is that reaching an agreement between the United States and Iran is not imminent, and that military action by the U.S. remains a strong option.
According to the channel, as translated by SadaNews, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is preparing for one of his most important visits to the White House scheduled for Tuesday, is expected to try to convince President Donald Trump to avoid signing an agreement that would keep the regime in Tehran intact and contradict the recommendations of his closest advisors, Steve Wietkoff and Jared Kushner.
The channel pointed out that Wietkoff and Kushner are striving to quickly reach a nuclear agreement with Tehran, whether it includes an Iranian commitment regarding the issue of ballistic missiles or not.
An American source stated that Trump is setting minimal terms for the agreement and will fail any negotiations if they are not approved by Tehran, noting that Washington is aware that Netanyahu is seeking to launch an attack, but no decisions have been made yet.
During his meeting with Trump, Netanyahu intends to insist on four essential red lines for Israel: halting uranium enrichment on Iranian territory, removing all enriched uranium from its lands, limiting the range of ballistic missiles to only 500 kilometers, and never tolerating support for armed organizations. Netanyahu will also request to establish a timeline for the negotiations, after which military action will be taken against Iran if the conditions are not met.
