Presidency: The Occupation Cabinet's Decisions are Dangerous and Rejected, Targeting Palestinian Existence and Historical and National Rights

SadaNews - The Palestinian presidency condemned the dangerous decisions approved by the Israeli occupation cabinet regarding deepening attempts to annex the West Bank, considering them a continuation of the comprehensive war waged by the occupation government against our Palestinian people, and an unprecedented escalation targeting Palestinian existence and its national and historical rights over the entire Palestinian land, especially in the occupied West Bank.

The presidency warned of the seriousness of these decisions, which represent a practical implementation of annexation and displacement plans. These decisions also violate all agreements signed between the Palestine Liberation Organization and Israel, as well as international law and international legitimate resolutions, and are a blatant violation of the Oslo Agreement and the Hebron Agreement, and a transparent Israeli attempt to legitimize settlement, plunder land, and demolish the properties of Palestinian citizens, even in areas under Palestinian sovereignty.

The Palestinian presidency also warned of the dangers of infringing upon Islamic and Christian sanctities, noting that any infringement on the Ibrahimi Mosque and the transfer of authority over it are completely rejected and unacceptable, stressing that the occupying authorities alone bear responsibility for continuing to assault sanctities, with the aim of igniting tensions, especially with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan.

The presidency affirmed that these illegal and unlawful decisions are null and void and will not grant legitimacy to anyone, and will not have any legal effect. International legitimacy laws have confirmed the rejection of settlement and attempts to annex and displace our people under any pretext.

The presidency called on the international community, led by the Security Council and especially the U.S. administration, to intervene immediately and take serious action to stop these dangerous Israeli decisions that threaten all international efforts aimed at calming the situation and halting escalation in the region.

Finally, the Palestinian presidency confirmed that our Palestinian people and their legitimate leadership represented by the Palestine Liberation Organization will continue their struggle to defend their land and rights and will not allow these plans to be implemented, and that the State of Palestine will be manifested as a free, independent, fully sovereign state in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as the eternal capital of the State of Palestine.
