Iranian Foreign Minister: We are Capable of War, and Those Who Respect Us Will Be Treated Similarly
SadaNews: The Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed that his country is "capable of war and able to deter the enemy," stressing that those who speak to Iran with respect will find reciprocal treatment.
He added that uranium enrichment is essential to meet the country's future needs in the fields of fuel, agriculture, and industry, clarifying that "no one has the right to dictate to us what to do and what we own regarding our right to enrich uranium."
The minister indicated that negotiations will yield results when the other party respects the rights of the Iranian people, emphasizing that his country is not seeking nuclear weapons. He considered that the Iranian-American discussions that took place with the support of friendly governments in the region represented a step forward, adding that Iran's logic in nuclear matters is based on the rights stipulated in the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
He stressed that the Iranian people have always responded to respect with respect, but they will not tolerate the language of threats by force. He affirmed that dialogue represents Iran's fundamental strategy for reaching a peaceful solution, pointing out that his country will continue to uphold its legitimate rights and will not concede to external pressures or dictates.
