Ahead of Oman Negotiations.. A "Significant" American Message to Israel

SadaNews: Israeli officials stated that the United States has requested Israel to refrain from any unilateral military action against Iran, coinciding with the scheduled negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

Before the negotiations are set to take place on Friday in the Sultanate of Oman, the Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" described the coordination between Israel and the United States as "very close."

High-ranking Israeli officials pointed to the frequent visits by military and intelligence officers between the two countries.

Iran fears that the United States will give Israel the green light to launch military attacks, even during the upcoming negotiations, similar to the events in June last year during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran.

The Israeli broadcasting agency reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding a session with the heads of security agencies on Thursday to discuss the tensions with Iran.

On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that nuclear talks between Iran and the United States will take place on Friday in Oman, while tensions between the two countries remain high.

Araqchi's announcement came hours after indications suggested that the upcoming talks may be faltering due to changes in their formulation and content.

However, both Iran and subsequently the United States confirmed that the negotiations will take place.

The United States wants to include Iran's nuclear and missile programs in the negotiations, as well as the support of Iran for factions in the Middle East, while Tehran insists that it will negotiate only on the nuclear file.
