Rising Israeli Estimates of Possible US Military Action Against Iran Despite Negotiations Beginning
SadaNews - Channel 12 reported, citing officials, that estimates in Tel Aviv indicate that Washington may opt for military action against Iran, despite the initiation of a negotiation track between the two sides.
The Ma'ariv newspaper quoted Israeli sources saying that the prevailing estimates within the security establishment are that the United States will launch an attack on Iran.
Meanwhile, military sources confirmed to the newspaper that the ongoing negotiations between Washington and Tehran do not lead the Israeli army to reduce its level of preparedness, either on the defensive or offensive front.
On the Iranian side, the president announced that he has instructed Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to prepare for talks with Washington if an atmosphere free from threats and unrealistic expectations is provided.
He clarified that his directives to the foreign minister were in response to requests from friendly governments in the region, affirming that any negotiations with the United States would take place within the framework of Iranian national interests.
