Trump Confirms Talks with Iran: "We Will See What We Can Do"
SadaNews - US President Donald Trump announced that Iran is communicating with Washington, adding "We will see what we can do".
Trump stated in remarks to reporters, "Iran is talking to us, and we will see if we can do something; if not, we will see what will happen".
He also noted, "We have a large fleet heading there, bigger than what we had in Venezuela". The US fleet includes the ship "Abraham Lincoln" carrying over 80 aircraft, in addition to the accompanying "strike group", which includes three destroyers equipped with Tomahawk missiles and has missile defense capabilities.
He added, "As you know, the last time they negotiated, we had to dismantle their nuclear program, and it didn't work out; then we dismantled it differently, and we will see what happens".
Trump's statements came as the Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani announced today that a structure for negotiations with the US is being established.
He wrote on his account on the "X" platform, "Contrary to the fabricated media outcry, the structural arrangements for negotiations are moving forward".
