Occupation Destroys Two Houses in Al-Zarazir Village in Galilee (Video)

SadaNews - Israeli authorities' machinery and bulldozers demolished two houses in Al-Zarazir village in the Galilee region of northern occupied Palestine early this Thursday morning, owned by the Jawamis family, one of which was inhabited while the other was under construction.

Local sources reported that a large force of police and special units accompanied the demolition operation, as they spread around the targeted houses, imposing a strict security cordon and preventing residents from accessing the area or moving on nearby roads during the execution.

In a related context, a police helicopter flew over the village since early morning, in a scene described by residents as unusual, raising tensions and anger among the population.

This operation comes amid a noticeable increase in the policy of home demolitions in Arab towns in recent years, as Israeli authorities intensify the implementation of demolition orders under the pretext of unlicensed construction, at a time when these towns suffer from systematic restrictions on planning and building, and a lack of appropriate structural plans.

Activists and local leaders assert that this policy contributes to deepening the housing crisis, exacerbating tensions, and serves as a tool of collective pressure against Arab citizens instead of finding fair and comprehensive solutions to the chronic planning crisis.
