Engineer Zaghloul Samhan Takes Over as Head of the Environmental Quality Authority
SadaNews - Engineer Zaghloul Samhan has officially taken over his duties as the head of the Environmental Quality Authority, succeeding Ahmad Abu Dhahir, who completed his term upon reaching retirement age and was acting in that capacity. The official handover ceremony took place today at the Authority's headquarters in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Cabinet, Dwaas Dwaas, along with several general directors, managers, and employees of the institution.
Dwaas praised Abu Dhahir's efforts during his tenure as acting chief and throughout his service, valuing the accomplishments achieved in environmental monitoring and the development of related legislation. He also expressed confidence in Samhan's ability to continue and enhance the institution's performance in line with government priorities.
For his part, Abu Dhahir expressed pride in the period he held office, affirming that the achievements were the result of the collaboration of the Environmental Quality Authority's family and the efforts of its staff.
Samhan expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him, affirming his commitment to strengthening partnerships with official and community institutions and the private sector, and intensifying national efforts to protect the Palestinian environment from current challenges and enhance the presence of the State of Palestine in international forums.
