Central Election Commission: Registration for the 2026 Local Elections is Closed
SadaNews - The Central Election Commission announced at 2 PM today, Saturday, the closure of the registration for the 2026 local elections in the registration centers, commission offices, and through the electronic program, in accordance with the approved plan and the timeline previously announced to the public.
The commission will publish the final numbers of registered individuals at a later date after completing the collection and management of data in the near future, in preparation for the publication and objection phase, which will take place from February 7 to 9, allowing citizens to review their data, make corrections if necessary, and submit objections regarding others.
The commission extended its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all governmental bodies, civil institutions, and media outlets that contributed to the success of the registration phase, reaffirming its commitment to continue cooperating with everyone to ensure the success of the electoral process and achieve broad and transparent community participation.
