Iran's Foreign Ministry Strongly Rejects European Parliament's "Interfering Decision"
SadaNews - The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly rejected the recent decision of the European Parliament concerning the events in the country, describing it as an "interfering" and irresponsible decision.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry warned, in a statement, that any violation of the Iranian armed forces or the security guards in the country will be met with a similar response and decisive countermeasures, asserting that Tehran will deal firmly with any illegal or interfering stance in this regard.
The statement noted that the European Parliament lacks the moral authority to speak on human rights issues, considering that several of its members bear responsibility for serious violations against Iranians, including support for imposing harsh sanctions and adherence to the illegal American sanctions imposed on Iran, in addition to what it described as collusion with the Zionist entity in the crime of military aggression against Iran.
The statement added that the silence of the European Parliament and its leadership regarding what it described as genocide in occupied Palestine, and the neglect of crimes committed in the streets of Iran, represent two sides of the same coin.
