Prime Minister Discusses with Egyptian Foreign Minister Coordination of Efforts to Accelerate Relief, Economic Recovery, and Reconstruction in Gaza Strip
SadaNews - Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, during his meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atti, discussed the latest developments regarding efforts to solidify the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as well as regional and international moves for the reconstruction of the area in coordination with international actors and partners. This took place today, Wednesday, on the sidelines of the Davos Economic Forum, in the presence of the Palestinian ambassador to Switzerland and the United Nations in Geneva, Ibrahim Khreishi.
Mustafa reviewed the developments in the West Bank amidst the continued Israeli military incursions into Palestinian areas, attacks by settlers, and obstacles facing the movement of citizens and goods, in addition to the ongoing detention of Palestinian tax revenues.
Abdel Atti reiterated Egypt's firm rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their land, its commitment to preserving the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, and enhancing efforts to create the necessary political horizon for the realization of an independent Palestinian state.
Both sides agreed to continue their joint coordination and update their shared plans to ensure a rapid response to relief efforts, economic recovery, and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, as well as to contribute to thwarting plans for displacement and bolstering the resilience of the Palestinian people.
