Trump threatens to obliterate Iran if any attempt on his life is made
SadaNews - President Donald Trump has threatened Iran that it will be "wiped off the face of the earth" if it succeeds in assassinating him.
In an interview with News Nation, the president revealed that he issued what he described as "very strict" orders to respond fully to Iran if it carried out its threats to assassinate him, affirming that any targeting of him will be met with a severe blow.
In an exclusive interview with "Katie Pavlich Tonight" marking the first anniversary of his inauguration for a second term, Trump stated that the United States would respond to all of Iran if Tehran acted on its threats, adding: "If anything happens, the response will be extremely strong, and I have given clear orders on this matter."
Trump criticized former President Joe Biden, claiming he did not deal firmly enough with Iranian threats during his presidency, stating, "The president must defend the president," emphasizing that the response must be decisive even if the threats are directed at any American figure.
In this context, the Associated Press reported that the U.S. aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" crossed the Malacca Strait on its way to the northern Arabian Sea, and is expected to arrive in the Middle East within 72 hours, noting that the carrier disabled its automatic identification system during its transit for security reasons.
These developments come amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran, following mutual statements and escalating threats, the latest being a warning from Iranian President Masoud Bezhikian that any targeting of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei would be considered a declaration of total war.
Trump called on Iranian leadership to focus on managing the country's affairs and improving economic and living conditions, rather than what he described as attempts to "destabilize," at a time when Iran has been experiencing widespread protests since late December due to deteriorating living conditions.
