Mustafa Discusses Latest Developments and Coordination of Joint Positions with Saudi Foreign Minister

SadaNews - Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Mustafa met on the sidelines of the Davos Forum with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, where they discussed the latest political developments and ways to coordinate joint positions, in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Switzerland, Ibrahim Khreishe.

The Prime Minister reviewed the latest developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, emphasizing the importance of intensifying international pressure to open Gaza's crossings and facilitate the entry of aid and reconstruction supplies, calling for the facilitation of the work of the Palestinian National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, and warning of the dangers of the ongoing Israeli obstacles to its work and their negative impact on relief and reconstruction efforts.

Mustafa also addressed the serious financial challenges facing the government due to Israel's continued withholding of clearance funds for nearly eight months, which has exacerbated the economic crisis and threatens the government's ability to meet its obligations towards the Palestinian people, stressing the importance of international pressure for the release of the clearance funds.

The Prime Minister praised the positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the Palestinian people, expressing his gratitude for its political and humanitarian efforts which contribute to strengthening the resilience of the Palestinians.

For his part, Prince Faisal bin Farhan confirmed the Kingdom's continued efforts to support common issues and the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and independence and to achieve their legitimate rights.
