Smotrich and Strok Open a New Settlement Between Jerusalem and Bethlehem
Translation by SadaNews - Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, accompanied by Settlement Minister Orit Strok, inaugurated a new settlement between Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
According to Channel 7, as translated by SadaNews, this settlement is called "Yitzif" and will be located east of the Gush Etzion bloc, closer to Bethlehem.
The channel indicated that the settlement was established at a strategic point connecting the eastern part of the Etzion bloc and the "Hordion" bloc in Jerusalem, noting that it currently hosts only ten families.
It was highlighted that hundreds of settlement units will be built there to accommodate more settlers.
It was also mentioned that it was constructed as part of a "cabinet" decision to legalize and build new settlements to strengthen Israeli control over the area.
