Egyptian Intelligence Chief: We are Committed to the Success of the Gaza Management Committee
SadaNews - The head of the Egyptian General Intelligence, Major General Hassan Rashad, reaffirmed Egypt's constant commitment to supporting the success of the work of the Gaza Management Committee and assisting it in carrying out its duties within the sector during a meeting with the Palestinian National Committee for Gaza Management.
The head of the committee, Ali Shaath, and its members praised the Egyptian efforts concerning Gaza, valuing the positions of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, especially regarding the rejection of the displacement of Palestinians and the preservation of the Palestinian cause.
They also confirmed that the committee's priorities focus on improving the humanitarian and living conditions of the citizens in the sector, emphasizing the importance of opening all crossings to allow the entry of as much humanitarian aid and relief materials as possible for the Palestinians.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the necessary steps to enable the committee to assume all its duties within the sector, contributing to the improvement of humanitarian conditions and supporting stability.
Significant Consequences of War and Division
It is noteworthy that the Gaza Management Committee began its first meeting in the Egyptian capital yesterday, Friday, to address a range of pressing and interrelated issues.
The commencement of the meetings presents the committee, managed by development expert Ali Shaath, with the challenge of addressing significant consequences of war and division.
The committee also aims to lead a temporary transitional phase that works to address the repercussions of the war, alleviate the humanitarian crisis, through coordinating relief efforts, reconstruction, and controlling the ground reality, while it carries an international political mandate and relates its tasks to service and relief aspects, away from any decisive decisions.
