New Electoral Legislation in the Special Edition of the Official Gazette

SadaNews: The Official Gazette Bureau issued today, Thursday, January 15, 2026, the special edition number (32) of the Official Gazette (Palestinian Events), which includes several legislations related to local elections. 

The "special edition" includes Law No. (1) of 2026 regarding the amendment of Law No. (23) of 2025 concerning the election of local authority councils.

It also includes Decree No. (7) of 2025 regarding the formation of the Electoral Matters Court.

Additionally, it includes Decree No. (1) of 2026 regarding the number of members of the local councils with a Christian population ratio.

Furthermore, it includes Regulation No. (1) of 2026 for determining local authorities and the number of their council members.
