Poll: 56% of Americans Believe Washington's Foreign Intervention is Exaggerated
SadaNews - A poll conducted in the United States revealed that 56% of participants believe that President Donald Trump "has gone too far" in using the military to intervene in other countries.
The poll was conducted by the Associated Press in collaboration with the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research during the period from January 8 to 11, and included 1,203 individuals, asking Americans about their country's role in global issues.
According to the results of the poll, 35% of participants believe the level of U.S. military intervention was "appropriate".
Seventy-one percent of Republicans stated that Trump "is on the right track" regarding military intervention in other countries, while 86% of Democrats do not support the President's approach to intervention in other countries.
Additionally, 53% of participants expressed the belief that U.S. intervention in Venezuela, including the arrest of its President Nicolás Maduro, is a "positive development in terms of preventing the illegal entry of drugs into the country."
Furthermore, 44% of participants viewed this development as "positive" for the Venezuelan people as well.
The percentage of participants who do not support Trump's handling of Venezuela stands at 57%, while 61% disapprove of the President's overall approach to foreign policy.
