$7.8 billion in tourism revenue for Jordan last year, up 7.6%
SadaNews - The preliminary data released by the Central Bank of Jordan indicates that tourism income in December 2025 rose by 15.1% to reach $630.0 million, compared to an increase of 8.0% to $547.2 million in the same month last year.
In light of this, tourism income increased by 7.6% in 2025 to reach $7,790.2 million, compared to a decline of 2.3% to $7,238.9 million in the previous year, attributed to a 15.3% increase in the number of tourists.
The data shows an increase in tourism revenue for the year 2025 from European nationalities (39.8%), Asian (32.7%), American (18.8%), Arab (4.0%), and other nationalities (32.6%), while tourism income from expatriate Jordanians remained at the same levels as the previous year.
Additionally, data indicates an increase in spending on international tourism in December 2025 by 9.1%, reaching $161.4 million. For the entire year of 2025, it increased by 5.8% to $2,048.6 million.
