The Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Jordan Emphasize the Importance of Complying with the Ceasefire Agreement and Implementing Its Provisions Fully
SadaNews - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atti and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi discussed the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the necessity of adhering to the ceasefire agreement and fully implementing its provisions according to U.S. President Donald Trump's plan.
During a phone call today, Saturday, the two ministers emphasized the need to provide sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and to move towards the second phase of the agreement. They highlighted the importance of announcing the formation of a Palestinian technocratic committee to manage the sector, deploying an international stability force, creating the necessary conditions for early recovery and reconstruction, and the necessity of maintaining the unity of Palestinian land between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, linking efforts to achieve stability with a clear political horizon that achieves a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
The ministers also warned against the dangers of illegal Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank, which are pushing towards an escalation of the situation and undermining all efforts for calm and the chances of achieving a just peace based on the two-state solution as the only path to achieving security, stability, and lasting peace in the region.
