Egypt Calls for Accelerating Gaza Management and Aid Delivery
SadaNews - The Egyptian Foreign Minister emphasized the necessity of hastening the announcement of the technocrat committee that will manage the Gaza Strip, pointing out the importance of forming an international force to ensure the safety and security of residents under the current circumstances. He explained that this step is fundamental to laying the groundwork for the next phase, ensuring stability and providing a neutral and effective administration for the sector.
The minister stressed that the first phase of the agreement must be completed swiftly, which includes delivering humanitarian aid in sufficient quantities and opening the Rafah crossing in both directions, allowing the flow of essential supplies to meet the needs of the population. He affirmed that these measures are urgent necessities that cannot be postponed, as they directly affect civilians' lives.
He also pointed out that it is essential to move to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the agreed path and avoiding the creation of parallel pathways that could disrupt implementation or scatter international efforts. He added that Cairo believes that progress in these phases in a sequential manner is the optimal way to ensure the success of the agreement and achieve the desired stability.
